Data Retention and Deletion
Ready Launch command center and client portal. Version 1.0, last updated October 16, 2026.
Principles
- We keep data only as long as we need it to deliver your services, or as long as the law requires.
- Retention periods are applied by an automated daily job, not by hand. Each period is off until it is set, and then the job removes only data of that type older than the period.
- Every deletion is recorded (which record, when, how many files), never the deleted content itself.
Retention periods
- Passports, other ID and proof of address: the stored file is deleted 365 days after upload, once none of your orders is still open.
- Other documents: kept while you are a client. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
- Photos sent in chat replies: deleted 180 days after they were sent.
- Company formation and tax records (kept): Articles of Organization, Operating Agreements, EIN and ITIN letters, W-7, address agreements and Form 1583, bank statements and tax returns are kept for the life of your company and afterwards as long as US record-keeping rules require. Ask us for a copy at any time.
- Orders, payments and invoices (kept): kept as financial and tax records.
- Messages, tasks and notes: kept while you are a client, so our team has the history of your file.
- Activity log: kept as a permanent record of what was done on each order.
- Residential mail: see the Mail Center data retention policy.
How to ask for deletion
Send your Ready Launch team a message from the client portal and say what you want deleted. We delete it, keep only the records listed above as kept and any others the law requires, and confirm when it is done.
How data is disposed of
- Files: deleted from storage, including older versions of the same document.
- Database records: the file reference is removed; a record that the document existed and was deleted is kept.
